About Nick

Hello, I’m Nicholas (Nick) Pappas and welcome to my life. When I was younger I was the “young man” that knocked on your door and asked questions such as “Would you like your snow shoveled?” and “Would you like your grass cut?”. I guess you could say that I have always had entrepreneurial characteristics. During my last few years in grade school I found myself being called by many teachers, family, and friends to fix their personal computers. At this point circa 97′ computers were just starting to become popular in the classroom. Being able to help people while doing something I liked drove my interest in learning different technologies.  Friends of the family soon began calling asking if they could get their computers fixed, viruses removed , and so forth. I quickly realized that not only was I making money but this was a field that I could really enjoy.

After grade school I made the decision to continue my Catholic education at Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown. Ice Hockey was a major factor in my decision to attend the home of the “Crushers”. During my first year of high school I started my first legit company. We specialized in computer repair, website design, and networking. I was registered through the state of Pennsylvania using a fictitious name. As, this company grew I learned that networking with other businesses that had the knowledge was a way that I could learn how to do things more efficient. I focused on spending time learning from attorneys, accountants, and other influential people that were eager to help me grow.  It soon became apparent that this business would need to become a corporation.

On November 11th 2005 I incorporated under the name Pappas Development Group. I feel that the most important thing that I have had in my life was help. I started this site as a tool to learn, inform, help, and collaborate with other entrepreneurs who are currently experiencing or have experienced the hard work, stress, and all the challenges you face when starting, maintaining, and growing a company. I would also like to share some of my personal knowledge that I have learned in life, business, and the technologies I specialize in. I enjoy sharing my story with others because I am chasing my passion just like you.
